Rain in the forecast to relieve statewide drought
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitoring sites in Ohio
Fair, 54 degrees at Cleveland Sunday with much needed rain in the forecast, coming tonight after 2 am, up to three quarters of an inch possible, looking to replenish the low water levels in the north. Fair and 68 degrees in the south with 50% chance of showers tomorrow increasing to 100% rain for Wednesday. A much needed drink for the Ohio River -Mississippi River basin watersheds.
Streamflow levels remain low across the board, the entire surface area is drought rated at least below normal with the exception of Lower Great Miami River watershed in the southwest and Ashtabula-Chagrin River watershed in the northeast, these 2 our of 32 watersheds are unrated Sunday. Three watersheds are in severe drought status Sunday, Wheeling Creek remains severe impacting south Jefferson and Belmont Counties. In the Lake Erie drainage area, Tiffin River watershed joins St Josephs River watershed in severe drought overnight. Lower Maumee, Cedar Portage and Sandusky River watersheds run moderate drought rating.
Safe Drinking Water Act
Hancock County: City of Findlay has announced the end of the BWA from last week. The announcement is posted on the City web site, customers with water connections at 1421, 1431, 1439 and 1020 on Strong Avenue; at 1722 and 1728 on Williams Road; and 1700, 1701, 1704, 1710, 1721, 1724, 1801, 1851, 1903, 2136, 2139, 2140, 2144 and 2146 on Blanchard Avenue, are back to normal tap service.
