Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS streamflow gauges in Ohio
A 40% chance of showers this afternoon for Cleveland and north Ohio, the total new moisture expected, less than a tenth of an inch. In the south, it's cloudy, heading for a high 54 and 30% chance of showers. The extended forecast from Wilmington indicates hazardous weather for Wednesday and Thanksgiving, wintery weather may impact holiday travel in Hardin-Mercer-Auglaize-Darke-Shelby-Logan-
Delaware-Miami-Champaign-Clark-Madison-Franklin-Licking-Preble-Montgomery-Greene Counties. More to follow.
Streamflow levels are again trending downward, slightly more common below normal results than seasonal normal, statewide. Record low flows are showing up in Scioto, Muskingum and Ohio River minor tributaries Monday. The drought map is back to severe hydrologic drought in two of Ohio's 32 watersheds with approximately one third of the total surface area rated below normal. Ohio River minor tributaries Shade River and Wheeling Creek are back to severe drought status after a short period of relief last week. Below normal rating is applied to the Lake Erie west drainage area and Upper Great Miami River watershed in the west, Upper Scioto River basin in central Ohio, Mohican, Walhonding, Muskingum, Licking and Little Muskingum River watersheds below normal. There are no high flows recorded in Ohio as of this report.
