Severe drought relieved in the southeast, downgraded to moderate drought
Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS monitoring sites in the rivers and creeks of Ohio
Mostly cloudy and cooler today in Cleveland, high 49. Streamflows appear normal to below normal statewide with two stations in the Muskingum River basin getting into low flow range. Severe drought has been relieved in Shade River and Wheeling River watersheds in the southeast, these have stepped down to moderate drought overnight. Moderate drought is now the highest drought rating appearing in Ohio, applied to Grand River watershed in the northeast, Laughery Creek watershed in central Hamilton County in the southwest, Raccoon-Symmes, Shade River and Little Muskingum River. All other area of the state is rated below normal with the exception of Great Miami River basin and majority of Scioto River basin in the west and central area, unrated.

The latest upload from NCCOS was captured Nov 11 at surface wind speed 23.8 mph. The image is mostly cloud obscured with no HAB evident. High wind speed causes the HAB mats to become submerged out of view of imaging equipment. We cannot make a reliable assessment of the HAB extent at this wind speed.
