Upper Scioto Watershed: September 17th, 35 gallons of bentonite was released on Dwight D Eisenhower Hwy in Pickerington, Fairfield County. Again on this day, 3 gallons of battery acid was released on OH-104 in Scioto Township, Pickaway County. September 11th, 3529 gallons of diesel was released from a vehicle onto the roadway of Olentangy Rd in Orange Township, Delaware County.
Cincinnati Watershed: On September 17th, 40 gallons of hydraulic oil was released on OH-276 in Jackson Township, Clermont County. September 13th, 100 gallons of concrete was released along Cavett Ave, in Reading of Hamilton County. The concrete was reported to have impacted Mill Creek.
Little Muskingum Watershed: September 16th, 2353 gallons of crude oil was released on Pea Vine Ridge Rd in Green Township, Monroe County.
Sandusky Watershed: September 16th, 2400 gallons of diesel was released from a vehicle that went off the road along OH-4 in Groton Township, Huron County.
Cuyahoga Watershed: On September 15th, unreported amounts of run off and sediment discharged into Cuyahoga River off W 25th St in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County.
Mahoning Watershed: September 13th, unreported amounts of green material was released into Eagle Creek off Main St in Garrettsville, Portage County.
Upper Maumee Watershed: September 12th, an unreported amount of trade name mixture released into Gordon Creek on County Hwy 115 in Hicksville Township, Defiance County. Sheen is visible on the surface.
Ashtabula Watershed: September 12th, an unreported amount of an unknown material has been released into Cowles Creek off Cedar St in Geneva, Ashtabula County.
Black Rocky Watershed: September 12th, 10000 gallons of wastewater was discharged along Miller Rd in Avon Lake, Lorain Township and has gone into Lake Erie.
Upper Great Miami Watershed: September 11th, an unreported amount of wastewater was discharged onto Needmore Rd in Dayton, Montgomery County and has impacted an unnamed creek.

Spills, fish kills, rainbow sheen and releases of contaminants in the state of Ohio as reported to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Environmental Response. Users of this data should be aware that inconsistencies and inaccuracies may exist if these data are compared to data from other time periods due to changes in methods of data collection and mapping.
WTOH reports spills from OEPA with the following features: 
  • 40 gallons or more of petroleum product
  • toxic chemical materials, corrosives spills of any amount
  • all spills impacting water
