Springboro water customers in the Heatherwoode area came under a BWA following repair to a watermain this week. The advisory applies until further notice.
Martins Ferry came under a system-wide BWA following a water main break and repair earlier this week. More to follow.

National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) Satellite HAB monitoring Program, Ohio Beachguard
Ohio Department of Health posts Recreational Public Health Advisories for beaches that have tested above the threshold level for e.coli, or for beaches presumed to have high e.coli based on predictive modeling. Sampling of recreational water is done by various including the local water and sewer district, Department of Natural Resources, County Health department. The samples are tested for e.coli and in cases where a HAB mat is observed, testing can be done for the cyanotoxin microcystins. Recreational public health advisories are posted on the Ohio Beachguard site and re-published here.
Ten Lake Erie beaches remain on the bacterial contamination advisory list heading into the weekend including Heidelberg, Lake Front Park, Lion's Park, Battery Park, Darby Creek, Crystal Rock, Bay View East, Beulah Beach and Sherod Park Beach, all in Erie County. One Lake Erie beach in Cuyahoga County, Columbia Park Beach remains on the advisory list. Grand Lake has three beaches tagged with Recreational Public Health Advisories for algal bloom toxins, St. Mary's Camp, Windy Point and Main West Beach. A handful of beaches through the interior have posted beach advisories including East Fork Lake in Clermont County, Shaunee - Turkey Creek Lodge beach and Shaunee Roosevelt Camp in Scioto County. Removed from the active beach advisory list overnight: Villa Angela State Park and Euclid State Park in Cuyahoga County, West Branch Camp on Michael J Kirwan Lake in Portage County. The latest satellite image of the Lake Erie West basin was captured May 30 at a surface wind speed 7.6 mph. The image is mostly clear with a thin band of cloud obscuring the shorelines. There is no sign of HABs in Lake Erie west basin in this image. Surface observation of HABs from the ground or by satellite imaging can be distorted by wind speeds above 4 mph. Mandatory water sampling for HAB toxins in surface drinking water sources begins the first full week of June. Grand Lake is a raw water source for the City of Celina, microcystin levels have been tested and posted, see the map to the right for more information.
WT USA Flows and Flood Tracker provisional data from the network of USGS streamflow monitors
Forty-nine streamflow gauges are recording above flood stage across the USA Friday, up from forty-four this morning. Three cases are observed in the WT coverage area, one in Georgia and two in Louisiana.
Louisiana Bayou Dorcheat flooding was short-lived near Springhill, the flow level getting back inside the channel before noon, less than eight hours of flooding recorded. While the Region 1 flood ended, another Region 4 site started taking on a large flow volume, the Calcasieu River breaching flood stage near Glenmora right after lunch hour today. This location is provisionally recorded an inch over flood stage on an increasing flow volume trend. Sabine River continues to overflow the lower channel at a higher level than reported earlier today, this could be due to tidal water influence near Ruliff TX. A flood watch remains in effect for the northwest until 1 am tonight. According to the hazardous weather outlook, thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Georgia: Atlantic basin's Satilla River is down an inch since the initial report today, five inches over the channel in Atkinson County, still coming down. We expect to see this flooding ending by this time tomorrow. See black tag indicating flow volume and gauge height, flows updated daily here.
As many drinking water facilities are supplied from surface water reservoirs, the streamflow situation is pertinent to both drinking water supply and quality. High flows can stir up sediment and cause turbidity in the reservoirs, requiring additional treatments to render the water potable. Low flow volume is linked to warmer temperatures in the reservoir and can be an issue for water quality where HABs are present. WT tracks streamflow trends with an eye to the impacts on drinking water supply and quality in each of the state's watersheds. Check the watershed layer on the map to see the direction of flow and streamflows that may be impacting drinking water today.
USGS Provisional Data Statement
Data are provisional and subject to revision until they have been thoroughly reviewed and received final approval. Current condition data relayed by satellite or other telemetry are automatically screened to not display improbable values until they can be verified.
Provisional data may be inaccurate due to instrument malfunctions or physical changes at the measurement site. Subsequent review based on field inspections and measurements may result in significant revisions to the data.
