Prepare for ice jam flooding south of I-71
Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by NWS Cleveland 619 am EST Thur Feb 13
A system will impact the area late Friday through the weekend.
Accumulating snow is likely Friday night into Saturday morning with a
transition to rain expected by Saturday afternoon. Rain will
transition back to snow on late Saturday night into Sunday morning
with additional snow accumulations likely on Sunday.
Periods of moderate to locally heavy rain are possible primarily
southeast of the Interstate 71 corridor Saturday afternoon through
Saturday night. River levels could rise due to the rainfall and ice
jam flooding cannot be ruled out this weekend, especially on area
rivers that already have ice jams.
