WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST THURSDAY...
Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations between one
tenth and two tenths of an inch in portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio. Difficult travel conditions are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.
Freezing rain will begin transitioning to light rain early Thursday morning. However, slick spots may linger
through mid-morning as surface temperatures remain chilly in the mid-30s. Temperatures will warm into the 40s by early Thursday afternoon.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike and
Infrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all
travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.

Streamflow Situation from the network of US Geological Survey monitors in Ohio
Water levels continue at seasonal normal across the north and south with a band of below normal observations running through the interior, cutting across four south-flowing drainage basins. An extreme low, first percentile is recorded in Short Creek near Dillonvale in the Ohio River minor tributaries. Huron River is down several feet, no longer at record high for this time of year. Black, Rocky and Chagrin Rivers are all observed above the 90th percentile Tuesday are down to 80th percentile, above seasonal normal.
Muskingum River has the last three out of four watersheds leftover on the drought map midweek. Wills Creek's Guernsey County has recovered overnight, downgraded from extreme to moderate overnight. Adjacent Muskingum and Licking River watersheds remain below normal. Neighboring Ohio River minor tributary Wheeling Creek likewise, below normal. Safe Drinking Water Act Advisories
Hardin County: Kenton Water service was disrupted on Sunday for infrastructure upgrades to be completed by midnight Sunday night. Customers on a precautionary boil water order following restoration of that water service include properties on N. Detroit and Courthouse Sq., the BWA will remain in force until samples show clear of contamination two consecutive daily draws. Watch for the announcement from the local officials to confirm tapwater safe to drink without boiling.
Kenton City serves 8830 residents from a groundwater source in Upper Scioto River watershed. EPA notes non-compliance issues in the last twelve out of twelve quarters concerning groundwater treatment technique and Consumer Confidence Rule.
