COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING......EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
10 AM EST WEDNESDAY...
For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 18 below. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 27 below expected for portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania.
The cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, dress in layers, wear a hat, and gloves.

COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST
WEDNESDAY...
Very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected, especially early Wednesday morning for portions of east central and southeast Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Streamflow Situation from the network of US Geological Survey monitors in Ohio
Water level ratings are diverse statewide, ranging from seasonal normal to extreme low. Severe drought remains in one watershed of 32. Muskingum River basin's Wills Creek watershed remains in severe drought, impacting Guernsey County for many weeks. Much of the Muskingum River basin and adjacent minor tributaries of the Ohio River are rated below normal. In the northwest, on the Lake Erie side of the divide, most watersheds are rated below normal.
Safe Drinking Water Advisories
Washington County: City of Belpre issued a system-wide BWA following a water main break on Lee Street late last week. City of Belpre serves potable water to a population of 6441 residents plus local business connections from a groundwater source in an Upper Ohio River minor tributary watershed.
