100 gallons of diesel released in the Tuscarawas River Watershed

Report spills and environmental emergencies to Ohio EPA 24-hours a day, 365 days a year
Lower Maumee: January 6th, an unreported amount of hydraulic oil was released on Owens Corning Parkway in Toledo, Lucas County.
Mohican Watershed: January 6th, an undisclosed amount of propane was released into the atmosphere along Hwy 30 in Mohican Township, Ashland County.
Upper Ohio Wheeling Watershed: January 6th, an unreported amount of diesel was released from a vehicle onto OH-470 in Pultney Township, Belmont County.
Tuscarawas Watershed: January 6th, 100 gallons of diesel was discharged from a vehicle following a motor vehicle accident on OH-77 in Canton, Stark County.
Huron Vermillion Watershed:January 6th, 60 gallons of diesel was released from a vehicle onto OH-90 in Milan Township, Erie County.
Auglaize Watershed: January 6th, an unreported amount of sulfur dioxide was released on South Metcalf St in Shawnee Township, Allen County.

Spills, fish kills, rainbow sheen and releases of contaminants in the state of Ohio as reported to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Environmental Response. Users of this data should be aware that inconsistencies and inaccuracies may exist if these data are compared to data from other time periods due to changes in methods of data collection and mapping.
WTOH reports spills from OEPA with the following features:
- 40 gallons or more of petroleum product
- toxic chemical materials, corrosives spills of any amount
- all spills impacting water
Spills marked with asterisk are followed up with Ohio EPA authorities for additional information on the clean-up and recovery, including notices of violation and charges under State environmental statutes, federal charges under the Clean Water Act.
