CWA CrimeBox NASA contractor convicted under the Clean Water Act One of 56 Criminal Prosecutions in Ohio under the Clean Water Act (from 1989-2021) The defendant in this case is an employee of an environmental services company contracted to provide water sampling and testing for NASA in the early 1990's Federal district judge in Ohio was presented with a bill of information demonstrating that the contractor's employee had not collected the samples for testing as the work required, in violation of the Clean Water Act. The defendant pled guilty to the felony charge of knowing interference with a test method. Federal district judge sentenced the defendant to a federal fine of $250 and a year of probation. A further $50 special assessment fee was levied by the court. Federal Fine: $250; Probation: 12 months. |
