(Tuscarawas River Watershed) Prison time for the President and VP for releasing untreated industrial wastewater into Massillon sanitary sewer system
The executive management of a plating company in Stark County was indicted in Ohio for knowingly violating the Clean Water Act. The company released its untreated industrial process water containing zinc and chromium into the local public sewer system.
Two of the three execs charged were locked up in prison for five months. All three defendants were sentenced to a period of home confinement and probation following. The president was charged a $5000 federal fine. The VPs were sentenced to community service.
