Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitoring sites in Ohio
Much above seasonal water levels are giving way to water levels below the 90th percentile across north, central and southwest Ohio Thursday with seasonal normal to below normal readings coming through in the southeast. The extreme high flows noted New Year's Day are no more, the much above normal water levels are found through the mid to lower Great Miami tributaries and main stem, in the Upper Scioto and tributaries of central Ohio, and in the Lake Erie northeast drainage basin. There are no extreme high flows, the lowest rating on the dashboard today is much below normal, 3rd percentile measurement of the water level in Wheeling Creek, the highlight of the Ohio drought map for months.

Four of 32 watersheds remain on the drought map overnight. Ohio River minor tributary Wheeling Creek has recovered from severe drought, today rated moderate. This eases the low supply pressure for Belmont, southeast Harrison and south Jefferson Counties' drinking water facilities. Among other minor tributary watersheds bordering the Ohio River, Little Beaver Creek and Shade River have been released from the drought map overnight, no longer rated below normal. Raccoon-Symmes Creek watershed, another Ohio River minor tributary in south central Ohio, remains below normal. Interior Muskingum River drainage basin continues with severe drought in the Wills Creek watershed, impinging municipal water supplies throughout Guernsey County. Little Muskingum River watershed remains below normal in Monroe, east Noble and northeast Washington Counties.

Overcast and 27 at Marion Municipal Airport, southwest of Cleveland. The day will not get above freezing, high 30 degrees. The north will most likely see snow showers tonight, mainly after 1am, up to three inches of new snow accumulation is possible.

Mostly cloudy, 33 degrees at Airborne Airpark Airport in the southwest. NWS Wilmington calls for a high 37 today with up to an inch of snow tonight, mainly after 3am. Tomorrow, more snow is expected before 9 am, impacting the morning commute. Northwest wind 10 to 18 mph, gusting to 29 mph will drop the daytime high down to 23 degrees by 5 pm.
