Drought creeping back to Ohio

Streamflow Situation from the network of USGS river monitoring sites in Ohio
Overcast this morning at Marion Municipal Airport, 44 degrees with an expected high temp 44 today, a slight 30% chance of showers before noon. NWS Wilmington is currently reporting overcast conditions, 44 degrees heading to a high 52.

Blanchard and Sandusky River watersheds appear below normal on the drought map overnight, adding to the number of watersheds creeping back into drought ratings. Seven watersheds of 32 are rated Boxing Day, including a fresh appearance by the Little Beaver Creek, an Upper Ohio River minor tributary, rated below normal. Adjacent along the Ohio River, Wheeling Creek remains in severe drought, neighboring Wills Creek in moderate drought. In the northwest, St Josephs River watershed has stepped up to moderate drought, neighbor Tiffin River is still rated below normal. There are no extreme high or 1st percentile flows, and no flooding in the reference network.

A partially clear image gathered on the 22nd at wind speed 3.8 mph shows localized bloom along the shoreline of Metzger Marsh Wildlife area, low concentration, under 100 thousand cells per ml.
